Unitas trip, Adams photos

Day 1, 3:00 A.M. February Third 2007 A couple hours later I found out what happens when a 120 pound sled slams into your back

Cooking after hiking the first day 3:00 A.M. til 6:00 P.M. fully loaded with gear.

First Night
Day 2, 7:00 A.M., after hiking for a few hours.

Day two with a twenty pound pack still fetching sticks

Sent the sled down this hill solo, it crashed into a tree. Day Three day hiking, I remember why were here.
Base camp Day four. Every day hike from base camp started out with a 45 minute climb to this look out, there's no better way to start your day.

After stashing some gear for the next days decent into a further valley we decided to go on a little hike. 50 degrees, grass, February at 1200 feet?
This bench lookout made the trip for me

snowboarding back to camp
Day 5. hiking to Mt Beulah

Dropping into the furthest valley of the trip.

Camp .99 miles from Mt Beulah

Heading back to base camp after two nights at camp Beulah

The first thing that happened when we got back to base camp was this mouse jumped out of my duffel bag when I opened it.
I couldn't get my gun fast enough so I shot the empty Coleman fuel can insteadThe last sunset
Last night, Guns, Vodka, FIRE!

I love white gas

It snowed three inches the last night. That with a little snow storm on the way out was all the snow that fell for the eight day trip.
